A little bit about Bill...
Bill Felker, known as Bill O'Hara on the air, retired in September, 2000 after 35 years in radio news in
Richmond, Indiana. The first 28 years were spent at WKBV where he became news director. He moved to WHON/WQLK
in 1993. Known as Willie during grade school, he graduated from McCutchanville Grade School in 1951. He
graduated from Reitz High School in Evansville, Indiana in 1955... and from the College-Conservatory of Music in Cincinnati
in 1959 with a BFA degree in radio-tv. While in college, He worked weekends in the production department of WCPO-TV.
Later, he pulled the evening on-air shift at WMOH in Hamilton. After a stint at WZIP in Covington, Kentucky, he returned
to WMOH. Then he joined his friend Charlie Plummer at WOCH in North Vernon, Indiana before moving to Richmond, Indiana
where his sister resided.
He is married and has a son and daughter and five grandchildren. He currently
serves on board of directors of Easter Seals Wayne & Union Counties and is active in the Centerville Lions Club.
He serves as webmaster for Promote Centerville, Inc., Easter Seals, Lions Club and RTVCCM.
Bill has served as president of WayNet, Cerebral Palsy and Mental Health Association.
